Myerberg Shain & Associates is a Hawaii-based general partnership
with offices in Honolulu and the New York area. The company is
controlled by its founders and partners, Neal P. Myerberg and
Barry L. Shain, and provides fundraising consultative services
to charitable organizations, foundations and philanthropists.
The combined experience of the principals in the not-for-profit
field exceeds fifty years.
From
its inception in 1986, Myerberg Shain & Associates has conducted
over sixty marketing and fundraising assessments in addition to
the engagement of campaigns for its client organizations in the
areas of planned giving, endowment, capital and annual campaigns,
campaigns of opportunity and mass-based fundraising efforts.
Myerberg Shain & Associates has provided fundraising consultative
services to clients in the areas of healthcare, education, human
services, environmental issues and causes, religion, arts and
culture and human rights. Not only have feasibility studies been
conducted in all of these areas, but campaigns have also been
successfully engaged, implemented and taken to fruition.
Neal P. Myerberg is an attorney, a nationally known lecturer,
author of numerous published articles relating to charitable giving
and holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration. He
is also the instructor of the Planned Giving Program at Columbia
University.
Barry L. Shain holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
He was the youngest member of the Executive Committee of a charity
that raised a billion dollars per year. Mr. Shain was a former
community organizer and specializes in major gifts, capital and
mass campaigns, and positioning client organizations in the marketplace.
